Jackson, Mississippi 11/14/1963: Reverend Ed King, Mississippi native, supports racial integration. Reverend Ed King confers with Allard Lowenstein, who advised COFO on developing the 1964 summer project. Lowenstein was later elected Democratic Representative from New York. His promising political career was cut short when he was shot and killed by a mentally disturbed civil rights worker.
