Caption
The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was passed in August, and within ten days federal registgrars had fanned out to counties in the South with a histgory of voter descrimination. Here C.O. Chinn Jr., a CORE worker stops to chat during his voter registratrion canvass of Sawmill Bottom, a poor neighborhood of Canton, Mississippi. His message: Go down to the courthouse to register. Nobody's gonna stop you now.
