1963. Ed King, Mississippi native, supports racial integration. Reverend Ed King, with Myrlie Evers, widow of slain civil rights leader, Medgar Evers. In the 1990's, Mrs. Evers briefly became head of the NAACP. King, the only native Mississippi white to join the Movement, was on the Klan death list, frequent target of threats.
